Festival is about 'Good Karma' and 'Feeling Calmer'

The festival focuses on generating community and individual 'respect for life', for Buddhists it is "good karma" and for non-Buddhists they "feel calmer".

Beautiful and peaceful: all visitors come for different reasons yet all express their enjoyment of the event's beauty, peaceful atmosphere, friendliness and hospitality.

Festival for families and children: it empathises family harmony and personal peace, 99% of 2003 visitor responses were positive and rated the festival as "excellent" or "good".

Showcase of diversity and multiculturalism: festival is the largest community celebration in Queensland showcasing Asian multicultural diversity, it attracts local and international visitors.
