Bathing Buddha

Friday, 9:00 am at the Spiritual Village (more sessions...)

The scriptures tell that when the Buddha was born, nine dragons appeared in the sky, spraying a stream of water to bathe the prince. From then onwards on the Buddha’s Birthday, Buddhists in all countries celebrate by bathing a statue of the Buddha with fragrant water. This ceremony is meant to purify people’s minds and to bless the world with peace.
